Joan Schatz has taken on the role of chief executive officer at Park Industries.
Manufacturing company Park Industries promoted Schatz from her previous role as president. She has also served as chief operating officer and co-president during her more than 15 years with the company, according to a press release from the company.
Schatz said she’ll use the new role to focus on providing quality experiences to customers, pushing for continued innovation and pursuing growth for the company.
“It has been a tremendous honor to work side-by-side with Joan and I thank her for leadership and tireless dedication to the company,” Park Industries President and co-owner Mike Schlough said in the release. “I am excited for her to assume this new role and for the future of the company.”
Local real estate company changes name
The company previously known as Granite City Real Estate has changed its name and logo.
The company now calls itself GC Real Estate Partners in a move aimed at better representing a wider service area and its expanded service offerings, according to a press release from the company.

Granite City Real Estate was formed in 2004 and was exclusive to the St. Cloud market. GC Real Estate Partners now serves clients across Minnesota and into North Dakota, the release said, and offers more services than when the company began.
Central Minnesota Builders Association moves to new office
Central Minnesota Builders Association will move out of its downtown office this week.
CMBA had been in its downtown location at 1123 St. Germain St. for more than 20 years, according to a release from the association.
CMBA employees will work remotely while the new office at 2848 Second St. S. Suite 145 is renovated. The release said CMBA’s new space will tentatively be ready in the beginning of June.
Bremer Bank employee recognized by Minnesota Housing
St. Cloud-based Bremer Bank employee Sander Anderson has been named a top-producing loan officer by Minnesota Housing.
According to a press release from Minnesota Housing and Bremer Bank, this distinction recognizes individual loan officers with high volume of Minnesota Housing program loans.

UBS employees earn distinction
Two St. Cloud-based UBS employees have been recognized as top advisers for their firm.
St. Cloud Branch Manager and Managing Director of Wealth Management Michael Karl is a member of UBS’s 2022 Chairman’s Council, which recognizes the firm’s top financial advisers based on certain criteria, according to a press release from UBS.
Karl has more than 30 years of experience in the financial service industry and is a certified financial planner and certified investment management analyst, the release said. He was named to the Forbes Best-In-State Wealth Advisors for Minnesota list for four years in a row, most recently in 2021.
St. Cloud office Senior Vice President of Wealth Management, Senior Portfolio Manager and Senior Retirement Plan Consultant Matthew Nikodym is a member of UBS’s 2022 President’s Council, which recognizes the firm’s top financial advisers based on certain criteria, according to the release.
Nikodym has worked at UBS since 2003 and has almost 20 years of experience in the financial service industry, the release said. He was named to the Forbes Best-In-State Financial Advisors in the State of Minnesota for three years in a row, most recently in 2021.
